Happy Mother's Day!

Many women have provided support, encouragement and tough love over the years but no one like my mom. Even now, almost 14 years after her passing, I still miss being able to call her! She told me once, when the conversation was about my job, that most of the time she didn't understand what I was talking about but that she just loved being available when I needed to talk through my day.

When the boys were younger, the conversations in the car were my favorite. That immediate release of their day was the highlight of my day whether it was from the adventures at day care or the success or challenges of a sporting event . Now that they have grown, I love when they reach out and tell me about their day even when I don't fully understand - just like my mom.
